The mist parted gently around a cloaked figure, green mist swirling at their feet. Cradled in their arms was Paprika, her body limp, her fur dimmed beneath the weight of the spores. She didn’t stir, only the rise & fall of her chest proved she was still with the world.
As the moth-like figure moved, bioluminescent flora shimmered faintly, reacting to Paprika & the cloaked figure's presence. Something about the two stirred the valley.
The figure steps without a sound, draped in cloth woven from moss. A hush followed their every step as they walked along an unknown path.
The figure paused, gazing down at the unconscious fox. Then, without a word, they vanished deeper into the trees, carrying Paprika toward something unknown.
