Private Investigator Philip Marlowe and his future wife, Linda Loring, in Raymond Chandler's The Long Goodbye

This piece was an experiment to try and manually make an image look like a rough-hewn paperback novel painting with broad brushstrokes and vibrant colors. I made several versions of this image on NightCafe and changed their tint and color on Canva then overlaid one on top of the other on the Photopea site and used that site's eraser function to remove parts of the overlaying image till I got a messy painterly quality. I also used my computer's drawing function to paint in some parts for the final image. Hope you all like it.
