Ixion, king of the Lapiths, dared to slay his own father-in-law, thus inventing kin slaying, and then tried to seduce Hera Herself, Queen of the Gods, in front of Zeus Himself.
For his wickedness, Zeus struck him dead with a thunderbolt and had him tied to a fiery wheel that would roll around Hades, the Underworld, for eternity.
