I've never done a "nurse" creation before, and I just suddenly felt the urge to do one. Not set in the present day, but set in the future -- as "the future" was imagined way back in the 1950s. Things have changed a bit since then. For instance, my understanding is that female nurses in modern hospitals of the Western world (and probably elsewhere) are no longer required to wear white uniforms with skirts. Nowadays, male or female nurses just wear scrubs instead. But back in the Fifties, who knew that was coming?
A vibrant oil painting on canvas of a 1950s retrofuturistic nurse. The artwork shows her in a high-tech hospital room with a robot assistant, preparing to take a patient's blood pressure.

Love the colors on this! It's been bard for me to get the right coloration for a real vintage vibe on this particular site - stuff tends to come out overly crisp and saturated.
