Kali Neelam [Hindi for "Black Sapphire"] is at once one of the most powerful and the most limited superheroines that I have under development.

The girl was engineered to be a living weapon. Little more. Little less. It was never intended for her to do much more thinking than a highly trained attack dog.

Yeah. Like that turned well. (Hey. Girls happen.)

First, she's crackerjack smart. Second, she develops a conscious. Third, did we mention already that she's a girl? And what does she want? Well, a boy would be nice. And a teddy bear. And a dog. And also, a hot water bottle.

Ok! Ok! So, her handler was a boy! Just not one that she selected. So, she floated away. Why? To find a boy. (Do try to keep up.) But some walls rudely got in her way. So, she disintegrated them. One after another.
