I see what you mean with the double exposure.  It's pretty good, but the style of the "dream image" is so different from the moody style of the main image that it kind of detracts from the mood of the overall piece.  I love the books, BTW - you can almost _feel_ the dust!

I'm agree with you. At first glance was disappointed because I wanted a closer shot of the head of the vampire, and a happy colorful illustration in his head as a memory of his lost family. But the way it was displayed in this illustration is not so bad after all... an exit in the foreground wall he shall never be able to cross, doomed to be alone forever. Making dreaming images are very hard... I'll try with the idea of "foreground" and "background" precisions in prompts... Maybe it could work a bit better.
