In my version, Theseus must fight the Amazons in an arena in order to prove his worthiness to marry their queen. If Theseus survives, the Amazonians will collectively approve of their marriage.

Unfortunately, our so-called "hero" could not stand the test. After so many 'near misses', Theseus ultimately found a blade through his chest from the back. 

The Amazons roared in laughter as Theseus collapsed.

This arrogant, foolish man proved unworthy of their queen's love. Good riddance.

When Theseus seduced Hippolyta, she amused him by allowing him to spend a night with her. He was an alright lover, she supposed, but she preferred the feminine strength and beauty of women. 

When he asked her to marry him, she scoffed, and he was flustered. Growing upset, he took her arm in an attempt to drag her to his ship. She easily tossed his hand away.  As he tried to grapple her again, she gripped onto his neck with her powerful hands and wrung it til she heard a crack.

When she let go, his body crumpled to her feet.

A pathetic excuse for a “hero” with muscles but no actual skills, and egomaniac who underestimated female strength…there can be only one outcome.

She did not need her warrior women fighting her battles for her; she easily took care of this loser on her own.
