The Water Nymph

In twilight's pool, where moonbeams sleep, She stirs, a whisper, a silk unfold, The water nymph rises, drops like diamonds keep, Her hair a tangle of riverweed gold.

Her eyes are aquamarines, dark and deep, Reflecting secrets only waters know, She moves like currents, wild and in a sweep, Drowning mortals in her liquid wlow.

She sings a siren's song, of depths unseen, Of treasures hidden where the shadows play, Of lovers who descended, never to be seen, Ensnared by beauty in her watery sway.

In her domain, time dissolves like mist, Reality bends to her mysterious will, She is the keeper of the river's wistful twist, The water nymph, a dream that draws you still.
