JUST ABOUT ThE COOLEST THING I WAS EVER A PART OF.... The late, great director, collector, special-effects supervisor and madmanTOM RAINONE cast me in a bit part in SUBSTITUTE, the RAMONES music video he directed in the early 1990s. Los Angeles. What a film set that was!! Many amazing cult-actors and musicians had cameos in the project. I ALSO had a brief cameo in the vid as one of my alter egos, sleazy comedian RUBE RUBEN.

1st of all Did you EVER see the CRAMPS live? I did when I was kind of a punk living in NYC in the early 80's-90's. I went to Pratt Institute. I saw them a LOT. And the NY Dolls, Johnny Thunders etc...and natch the Ramones. I met Lux Interior on this video set...HERE:
