I had a spontaneous thought hit me when I was in junior high about a character in the world of fairies. He was to be an ambassador (called the Irimin) between the fairies of an old forest and the humans who were beginning to encroach on their territory. But I’ve never been able to find a satisfactory image of him in my mind. Now, I’m 62 years old, but the Irimin has stayed with me. A few weeks ago, this image popped up . . . and I recognized him immediately. Now I can write the story.
