Kagnuk of Rankvent

Kagnuk stumbled upon an ancient blade - a rusted relic of old half-buried in moss near the Rankvent mountains. Its hilt bore the emblem of a forgotten warlord. His heart quickened when a whispered voice filled him with promises of power, vengeance and glory. It gave him a newfound purpose.

After cleaning his new find, he carved his name into the pitted steel and, in return, whispered secrets of the lost art of summoning shadows and the taste of moon kissed blood of an enemy.

He would find others who believed as he that there was someone or something out there that could make everything right, that could bring his people out of the dark scavenger life and into the light.

Gathering what little he had, he headed out of Rankvent into lands he'd never seen before, his trusted blade at his side.

What started here would end with Kagnuk's story etched into the bark of ancient trees, sung by the whispering winds in their twilight ballet.
