Epic is the word that comes to mind for this portrait! The defiance is written all over his face! The set of his jaw and the fierceness he has in holding his head up against all odds! I think this character is based on a slightly older Kirk Douglas than the Spartacus in the movie - but the maturity here suits the words which have a degree of wisdom that is reflective of his age. And his eyes convey the pain of understanding the inevitability of defeat regardless of whatever fight they put up! It’s a great portrait! Love it!❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰👏
