DALL-E 3
@TheKnightWithThreeLegs STORY - more in the comments!
THE ACCIDENT (Part 1) The sky was white, and so were the clouds.
The ghost boy’s face was pressed against the glass of a windowpane. He was watching the frost-covered trees rush by, waving their branches in the cold winter wind. He was listening to the whistle of the wind and the clack of wheels on the track. The noise whispered, “Abschied . . .”
Farewell.
Farewell, farewell.
His mother leaned her head on the back of the seat and let out a long sigh. The ghost boy glanced at her. “Mama?” His voice came out soft.
She didn’t reply. Her long blonde hair fell in greasy waves in front of her face. Her dark blue eyes glanced briefly at him, then at his sister.
Again. “Mama?”
She sighed once more, lifting her head. It looked like it took a mountain of effort. “Yes, Max?”
“Are we almost there?”
“Yes, Max.”
This image combines a poignant portrait of a young boy in 1940s attire with a stunning winter landscape, featuring a train and vibrant colors, in a highly detailed and photorealistic style.

The ghost boy looked out of the window again, staring back at his reflection.
Everything about him looked pale, from his large blue eyes to his white-blond hair.
“Mama?”
This time his mother didn’t even stir. She just closed her eyes. God, she looked so tired.
The ghost boy was young and did not understand who the Being in the Sky was, but he sent up a prayer anyway.
“Max?”
That was his sister. Inge’s huge, ice-blue eyes were opened. She had been sleeping across the seat, but now she was looking at him.
He looked back. “Do you see the sky?” he asked. He pointed out the window, where frost patterns spiraled across the windowpane, up the trees and into the air.
