Fairy Tales are Lies... (Part 1)

I never believed in fairy tales, Thought them fanciful figments in books. But one night, in a darkened alley, An old man appeared before my looks.

Emerging from the shadows swiftly, He stood right before my stare; His face was hid by a bushy beard Of tangled hoary hair!

I was frightened for a moment, Started running in flee. But the stranger simply chuckled, Blocking off my path's retreat.

I knew then things looked quite dismal,

• Fine, old man, you've won - My pockets are all empty, And my life already has no fun.

• If naught here binds you, Cast off your colorless days, I'll unlock secrets sublime, Come now, do not delay!

Trusting this stranger's word, I did all that he bade. A bright flash blinded me, The old world began to fade!

"Fairy tales are lies for fools, And campfire ghostly yarns Try to push them as the truth.

But it's plain that's not the case, All this nonsense, what a farce!" "Listen boy, you are wrong!"
