Inspired by the character of Jo Montfort in These Shallow Graves by Jennifer Donnelly. I am OBSESSED with this book right now. Jo is a society woman set to marry one of the most highly sought-after bachelors in New York City. But the life she wants is to be an investigative journalist. In 1890, a society woman can't be a wife and have a career. “Why is it, she wondered now, that boys get to do things and be things and girls only get to watch?” When Jo's father dies, and it is ruled a suicide, she knows she must find out the truth. I created Jo with my two favorite LoRA: my Ladybird and Lush Watercolor @Buecherfreuden
