The original title was "Hard Boiled Pulp Magazine: Tribute to Dashiel Hammet"
She had hired me to find her missing husband, but I had a hunch that she was hiding something.
Maybe she had killed him herself, or maybe she was working for someone else. Either way, I was in too deep to back out now.
I grabbed my hat and coat and followed her to the street, hoping to catch a glimpse of her car.
But she was gone, like a ghost in the night.
And I was left with nothing but questions and a bad feeling in my gut.
