Thank you for including the raccoons. i love both them and meerkats! I figure you might be a good person to ask about mielies. I have friends from Zimbabwe and one food the grandma makes us mielies. But she adds peanut butter to it which seems rather unpalatable to me. I realise that it's basically ground nuts which are used in many African dishes. Is that combination common in SA that you know of?
