Stephen Wayne Cox IV

The youngest son of Stephen III and Natalie Cox (and their problem child, that admittedly they both cherish dearly). The Cox family made their fortune selling artillery during the Civil War, and later in fossil fuels. They are considered to be one of the most influential families in the United States.

Stephen has had unrealistic expectations placed on him for years being from a highly regarded family. Which is why his more “social” approach at life has left his family frustrated. He values having sexual relationships and over the top parties (although it is possible his actions are just him rebelling). This has made him be very popular with people like Jill Adams.

He has lived in Wilsburough for 7 years, and has unknowingly been monitored by his family. They have bought out the mayor and threatened the sheriff to protect their son. The expectations have destroyed him and removed any desire he had to have any type of occupation, despite his genuine love for art and commentary.
