𐤍 nūn is the picture of a snake, very similar to the Egyptian logogram for snake. It stands for the nasal [n]. nūn means fish in Phoenician, the original name for snake was probably naḥaš, similar to today’s Hebrew. Derived from this letter are Hebrew נ, Arabic ﻥ and Fidäl ነ, Greek and Latin N as well as Cyrillic H. Further descendants are Brāhmī 𑀦 and Devanāgarī न.
