The Thramas Crusade

By the time of the Horus Heresy Thramas was the capital of the Thramas Sector and one of the most heavily fortified worlds of the Imperium, with the Thramassi Nightwatch as its core defence. Staunchly loyal to the Imperium, they remained true to the Emperor during the Horus Heresy. In the subsequent Thramas Crusade it was attacked by the Night Lords under Nakrid Thole. Thole initially landed on the world expecting surrender but instead ambushed, wounded, and forced to flee by the Imperial Army defenders. What endured was a brutal siege and blockade before Nakrid Thole was able to summon the Dark Mechanicum predator-world of Ulan Huda to devastate the planet. Forces of the Dark Angels under Lion El'Jonson himself later arrived and managed to force Ulan Huda to flee back into the Warp before it could fully destroy Thramas.
