At Long Last

You've infiltrated the Imperial Palace to kill its tyrannical empress.

The Imperium is highly automated. Noo guards to bribe or trick. Killer machines of every kind stand between you and your target.

You sneak past them all to a teleportation device. This leads to the real Imperial Palace in high orbit.

You teleport onto the space station. A circular door irises open. You step through.

There she waits. The Empress is a beautiful blue-eyed woman with long blonde hair. Her attire is hardly regal, just a regular set of black clothing.

You aim your blaster at her, and she laughs with evil glee.

"So you came to kill the 'empress,' did you? I am proud of my Imperium's automation, and I am no different. Destroy this body, I will make another. The Imperium will endure, and I will rule over all."

As you realize the utter futility of your resistance, the shield over the window falls, and body is sucked into space.

The shield rises. The Empress reigns.

We are all doomed.
