This creation is another in a series that is a modern retelling of Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World. I've imagined Christina doing her crawl on the streets of New York City. I've named this creation, though, after Annie Lennox's song "Pavement Cracks," of course because of the foreground. 
"And love don't show up in the pavement cracks
All my water colors fade to black
I'm goin' nowhere and I'm ten steps back
All my dreams have fallen flat
(Love don't show in the pavement cracks
There will be no turning back) ..."
In this version, Christina has been kicked out of the home she built with her lover, and now she has nothing, and nowhere to go.
