Flux Schnell
Created for a black-and-white challenge.
Every once in a while, I succumb to the urge to create something in a style that I call "teddy bear film noir." I figure that this teddy bear is a hard-boiled private eye, living in a big city in the 1930s, who has formed a very pessimistic view of the world. This house's open door on a rainy night suggests to him that someone was in a hurry to flee the scene of the crime, and something terrible may be inside, waiting to be discovered. He's drawing his gun because a perpetrator may still be in the vicinity.
(Granted, he could be wrong in these suspicions. But this is film noir, so what do you think the odds are?)
Here are links to my two previous efforts in the same vein. One of these days, I really ought to come up with a name for this character, if I'm going to keep using him. (Any suggestions?)
