I made this for the Iron Man challenge; I'm not a huge fan of comic book superheroes, but this was still a nice opportunity to make a great exosuit. I'm still a little miffed about not placing higher in the Darth Vader challenge even though my entry scored well above 3, but not all that much since with Vader it's not as much about his armor as it is about his character. But with Tony Stark, his armor is his character, so designing your own Iron Man suit should prove more successful.

The rules of the challenge say to depict the character in another context, but alternate universes, floating timelines and other such things are common in comic books. That makes it hard to find a novel premise that comic book companies haven't already done, so I chose an alternate premise they themselves made. As the title would suggest, this is a far more advanced version of the Iron Man suit from the Marvel 2099 era.
