Dreamscape: Pizza Bait

"Somehow after a late-night job, I fell asleep hungry. Next thing I knew, I was soaking wet while walking down a Salem road. Suddenly, I stumbled upon a nightmarish sight—a decaying Smilodon! Its massive fangs were visible, with pieces of its body falling apart, and its left jaw looked like it had been chewed on by time itself. This wasn't supposed to be here; Smilodons were extinct. Yet, here it was, staring right at me with hollow eyes. I needed to get past it, but it was clear this undead beast wasn't going to let me go without a distraction. Then, I remembered the pizza box I was carrying. With shaking hands, I opened it and threw the pepperoni pizza toward the creature. To my surprise, it instantly took a liking to it. The Smilodon slowly grabbed a hunk of cheese with its skeletal paw and used a rusty metal tool to cut the pizza. As it snarled, a shiver ran down my spine, but it seemed satisfied enough with the offering to let me pass.
