I had a weird week when I was a kid; I was able to call the phone number at my grandparent's home and the call would patch through to my own dad as a teenager.
I tried to explain what a drunk he was going to end up as and the real piece of work he would marry, but he kept accusing me of being part of a "Candid Camera" stunt.
Anyway, he was too dense to listen. He married the nutball, and also smoked and drank himself out of reality.
Look, I tried to help. I reminded him of the phone calls in my early 20s, and he threw a bowling ball at my head.

Like father, like son. You'd have never known if you hadn't been successful since you wouldn't then exist. Or maybe there are multiple time lines and one of you was successful.
With a head so dense the bowling ball could not make an impact. Whi8ch one is the garndparent and which one is the dense head kid?
