Arum's horse crashed onto Pillinor's Almost knocking him from the saddle. Its scheam as it fell, broken legged to the blood soaked earth was a sound that would him forever.
Pillinor whorled. He saw the horse but not Arum... his heart pinched "Arum!".. his throat clenched. A hoarse whisper where he'd meant to shout. For his blood turned to ice water...
The momsterous troll had blood on it's teeth already from the throats of it's victims.. "Arum.." a soundless sob amid the symphony of blades, and death..
The troll picked up an unfortunate rohirrin by his feet and thrashed him against the ground.
Pillinor fired his last Arrow at the beast but it didn't sink deep enough to kill, only made it angrier.
Then at last he spotted Arum, amid the other dead, and dying things. He'd been swiped off the back of his horse, and thrown to an ever-growing tangle of shattered shields and broken spears. He tried to get up, tried to get away.but he couldn't move his legs...

Sad :( but lovely creation though a bit gory
The troll came for Arum. There was no time to waste. No time to pick up arrows.
Pillinor lept from the saddle, and drew his seldom used sword. An arming sword two short to much use from horseback anyway.
with his fading strength, Arum slashed the beast across the face as it came for his throat. It roared, and with a wild swat knocked the blade from Arum's hand.
With its massive hand, it pinned Arum to the blood soaked soil, and stooped again, To bite him....
Pillinor wasn't sure how, but he got there. Later he would wonder who he killed to make that path... but just now it didn't seem to matter. The only thing that mattered to him was was his brother's life.
As the troll's maw gaped, Pillinor saw only one way to stop it in time... he didn't think what it might cost, didn't care.

👍🏼Yes, it's an epic narrative. Personally, when it comes to my perception, our civil war, which lasted for 5 years (1992-1997), was too big for our small country, and during the war we had too little food, love, and security, and too much killing, destruction, and violence, so personally, since then I prefer books that depict a lot of food, love, and security and little violence and killing🤔 However, of course, I enjoy reading any other books too🤗
