Some Kea's even love to prank tourists. One day i intended to stay overnight in a hiking hut and exited the hut for some fresh air. The Kea had placed himself directly above the door with the late afternoon sun in his back. When he heard me opening the door, he unfolded his wings. Projecting a huge bird of prey like shadow on the ground. When i paused and turn around to check, i had the strong feeling that the little bugger was quite amused. They are really adorable. So smart.
