Created for a challenge. We had to use a single character as the prompt. I experimented with it, and selected this creation as my submission because I like the way the lady appears to be walking on water. (For all I know, though, perhaps the water is only an inch deep?)

After another day of trekking through the Great Banded Desert, Akiranne reached a canyon that split the land in half. She looked down and saw millions of shapes moving, along with the distant sounds of many hisses and groans. She needed to find a way across the divide without being eaten by whatever lies down there. she used a rope and arrow and tied them together. She then drew back the bow and launched the arrow, which lodged itself perfectly into the rock on the other side. Akiranne put the bow back into her pack and then walked across the tightrope with little to no effort.

But after she stepped off and turned around to look, Akiranne noticed a sand cloud moving towards her, and there was a dark figure there. It didn't take a genius to figure out it was Khagaan. She had followed her!

"She doesn't know when to quit!" Akiranne said to herself, and then kicked at the arrow which was still lodged in the canyon wall. It broke and fell into the valley.

But Khagaan's smile only grew.
