The Wishing-Stone

On a grassy hilltop, a lone Mehnir stands, ancient, weather-beaten, worn by Time. On its base rests a basket of fruits, left by villagers. The surface of the Mehnir is inscribed with arcane symbols. The sky is covered by black clouds, the weather windy, bowing the tall grass. This is the Wishing-Stone. From Time Immemorial, villagers come here - though it's a long trip from the villages - and leave simple offerings, making wishes - for their health, their harvest and so on - in the belief, passed on from the previous generations, that the Wishing-Stone will grant them.
