- Iron marshmallows: hard outside; soft inside. Fun fact: This character was inspired by a fond, but vague, recollection of the Duran Duran hit song, "The Reflex." But years after dreaming up this character, I finally checked out the lyrics. Surprise! The song is referring to a male!
Fortunately, I'd also thought up the reason why this character calls herself "The Reflex." Her "real" name is "Yobi'ch." And whenever anyone would shout for her, then she'd reflexively cringe.
Well, when her powers got strong enough (~ age 5 to 6), it was like handing a bulldozer's keys to a toddler. Given the bizarre and chaotic nature of her superpowers, The Reflex fit her even better...
Even though she/they are "a" girl! [Snicker, snicker!]
