Trade with Quor is vital, for both our nations. My ambassador, Filux Sprom, is an able man and has done well in the post, but the new Emperor is young, brash, posturing, and yet, I suspect, calculating. Prepared from birth for this role, I find her impetuous behavior must have some design.
I believe it is, at the least, to keep us imbalanced, unsure, to prevent complacency and build toward renegotiations. If so, it's a bold tactic. The former emperor walked into the desert at 60 years of age, as is their custom, leaving us this wild card upon the Obsidian Throne.
Quor is largely desert now, but they are still powerful and resource rich, we require their favor. I must confer with Sprom, prepare him to deal with this new ruler.
