The things that I am grateful for.

The things that I am grateful for that must not be forgotten, The double shifts I used to work always left me feeling rotten, Now my time it is my own to manage as I see fit, Despite my deep rooted sorrow I'm not yet it a pit, I've gained more patience than I had before, My husband's dreams could be the shore, With enough enduring patience of my own, I'll hopefully understand he has also grown, No more are we wretched lazy bums, Who sit around and twiddle thumbs, We have to get up and get moving, To each other and ourselves we're proving, There are things worth working towards, That must be done of our own accords, To build a strength and fight on through, It is not for us this we must do, But for a spark of grace gifted by God, Something unique, beautiful, and odd, We never deserved such a great blessing, I hope that to earn it we are progressing,
