brockoli (homage to the square)

Meeting with Raze and Jade feels nice, but I have to go because I might’ve spent too much time in one room. I went to the contemporary collection for some nice artworks aside from paintings of portraits, landscapes, and still life. I want something unexpected, and that’s what I discovered. Six paintings in a row, each consisting of four nested squares of color. As simple as it is, it seems that the guy is struggling while looking at one of the pieces. Maybe he doesn’t understand it? I seek the gentleman out, saying that the artist, Josef Albers, used to make these to study how color affects each other. All this while using his vibrant outfit as an analogy for the artist’s work. In short, I gave him a mini lecture, and he liked it. He’s able to appreciate it more, which is nice.
