This is a project I have had in mind for a very long time. Wagner's Tetralogy is too vast for me to cover it in one day.
That's why I created a collection specifically for this -->
With Rossweisse, the "major" Valkyries in the Wagnerian epic might be considered to be over. The others (which I will treat anyway) are of less dramaturgical importance.
Rossweisse is the youngest and most peaceful of the nine sisters, and in "Götterdämmerung" she will receive a most important assignment from Wotan: to mount guard at the entrance to Valhalla.
That is why she is portrayed here between stars and galaxies, symbolizing the passage between one world and the next.

Rossweisse is the ninth and youngest of the Valkyries and sister of Grimgerde. She is a meek and timid warrior who prefers peace to war.
Of sweet and gentle disposition, Rossweisse appears in "Die Walküre" and "Götterdämmerung" -- when, unexpectedly, she is appointed by Wotan to remain guarding Valhalla to defend it from the invaders.
(A small side note: of all the nearly fifteen hours of the Tetralogy, Rossweisse's "leitmotif" stands out, in my very personal opinion, among the most beautiful music Wagner wrote for his Opus Magnum.)
