Back when she was a newly minted Padawan. Before the Rebellion became "The New Republic", Nalissara witnessed many planets under tyranny of one kind or another which the Jedi did little to help. This injustice and unwillingness to act on the Jedi's part never sat well with her. Which is what led to her eventually creating the Falcrest Federation. Somewhat considered privateers, the Republic officially disavowed all knowledge of their actions or existence, which gave Nalissara and her freedom fighters the freedom to do what was necessary to help the oppressed and downtrodden, and exact recompense on the tyrants who enslaved them.
