The Carnival Stuffed Animal... Story Series

Once in a carnival not too far away hung a fluffy platapus stuffie. Unlike the kittens, or the dogs, or even the baby chicks, the platypus never was picked. A unusual animal I am he thought while hanging on the game booth hooks. As the kids ran around and the teens wandered in groups passing the platypus he felt a twinge of loneliness. Every day the stuffed animals below him where taken home to a family, a home. And everyday he hung there, not quite alone but the others never stayed long. One day while he was wondering why this is, a young girl about the age of 8 walked up to his booth. She looked right up at him and asked her father for a try at the game. Unlike all the other times, this time the lights flashed gold as she sunk the ball into the center cup. Jackpot! The booth owner said and for the first time in months the platypus was taken down. Turns out he was just the best prize for last.
