Testing Volition

As the war band entered the radiant expanse of the Saterian Halls, with Aurevalis silent at its center, tension rippled like heat through crystal. One of the elder Saterian Generals, unimpressed and skeptical, stepped forward, his voice laced with challenge. “Who or what gives you the right to tread these sacred halls—” But before his words could fully take shape, a resonance surged through the chamber, crashing through every mind like a thunderclap of truth: “I am of the Light. Who gives the Light permission to be where it shines?” The voice was neither male nor female, ancient yet alive, and left even the boldest warrior rooted in awe. Silence fell. Even the Halls, vast and eternal, seemed to hold their breath.
