Flux PRO v1.1
In this luminous surrealist tableau, the veil between the terrestrial and the celestial ruptures with divine symmetry. Set in a serene, sakura-lined street of old Japan, a swirling galactic vortex tears open the sky above — not with violence, but with revelation. Lantern light and starlight intermingle, hinting at the harmony between human tradition and cosmic immensity.
The composition centers on convergence: of vanishing point, of culture and cosmos, of the everyday and the eternal. Figures stroll beneath the breach unknowingly, as if their world has always been adjacent to the infinite — they simply never looked up.
This piece is a meditation on scale and serenity. It suggests that transcendence does not erupt into our lives, but unfolds softly — often in places of quiet order.
A surreal oil painting showing a tear in the cosmos above old Tokyo. Cracks of cosmic energy reveal traditional houses, cherry blossoms, and figures in kimonos along lantern-lit streets.

Many thanks for playing Images of Asia: Geisha-free #13. Once again, I had a glitch, and voting was only open for 2 hours. Hopefully #14 will be much better. I’m very disappointed at the low scoring in this challenge. Every image was on theme and deserved at least a 3. I can’t force people to score fairly, but I do ask that you be respectful of the time that others put into their creations. Congratulations to our winners (who will all receive credits from me). 🥇 Fearn @Fearn🥈 Gumnut @Gumnut. 🥈 BexRab @BexRab and VERI ART @NEW. As always, I will also choose a host’s favourite. Thanks so much for everyone playing along. Let’s get bigger and better. Please join me again next week. Let’s keep growing this challenge.
