While Padme longs for peace, she is not afraid to fight to defend herself and those she loves. She fought to free her home planet of Naboo ten years ago, and she will fight for the freedom of the galaxy at the start of this new conflict, the Clone War.
She is sad that it has come to this, but Padme will always fight for what she believes in. Whether in the Senate or on the battlefield, you can safely assume that her cause is on the right side of history.
