I went to a memorial today for someone I went to school with. It's heartbreaking and unimaginable to think someone can be gone so suddenly. It's real and as much as I wish it wasn't, it will always be.
Words really can't capture the emotions of grief, this image I think does a better job than anything I say might. A future lost and gone like a fleeting mound of sand- you can try to hold on, but it will escape. Some things are beyond our control, no matter how hard we try or how much we wish otherwise.
