The "Ghost of Abraham Lincoln" is a photograph taken by American photographer William Mumler back in 1872.
Mumler began taking spirit photographs in 1862 and though many tried to debunk his photos as fake, no one at the time was able to figure out how he was accomplishing his spirit photos, even though he allowed experts access to his equipment and observed his process.
This is my take on one of his many so called "Spirit Photos". However he did it, it still cool to see.
This image shows a camera obscura photograph of a Victorian woman seated in a wooden room. Behind her stands the transparent outline of a second Victorian figure.
