The necromancer choking on blood gurgled out one last word as his body doubled over and his hands plunged into the ground. My companions were to slow in dispatching his head; whatever spell he uttered now worked its magic up the mountainside.

A red glow began to rise from a collection of rocks and then began to flow and swirl like a bloody tide; out of which came a black knight with a horned helm riding astride a dark horse. As the beast he rode landed upon its hind legs, he steadied it and himself by unfurling dark wings like a bat.

Awesome villain...and the action pose intensifies the sense of power and impending doom. Truly fabulous image.
