David’s thoughts on other main characters:

1. Matthew: he is David’s most trusted ally, they have an uncle like relationship, despite David being a grown man. They both have suffered a lot and relate to each other.

2. James: he sees James as an annoying little brother. Later in the series they have a slight resentment for each other but they do care for each other

3. Breno: they have a lot of mutual respect for each other. Breno sees David as almost father like.

4. Scott: they understand each other well. But like most people Scott scared and intimidates David.

5. Jenesis: David sees a lot of himself in her, and treats her as if she was his daughter.

6. Nigel: he has some slight resentment for Nigel since he left, but he respects Nigel more than anyone else.

7. Kirk: he is annoyed by Kirk, but likes his presence. They but heads less than Kirk does with Matthew.

8. Blake: they are intellectual equals, unusual.
