Glass Hearts Do Crack

This is one of the creations I made for the cherry blossom challenge, but not the one I submitted because I don't think this image puts enough emphasis on the cherry blossoms. The title comes from a lyric in the U2 song "Walk On," which I hadn't hear in probably 15 years, but came on while I was driving. Here's the lyric: "And if your glass heart should crack ... " I thought about making a creation inspired by this song. In this creation, a woman is tormented when her lover returns to America. He is terminally ill, and he is going back home for treatment. She is not sure when he will come back to her, or if she will ever see him again. He writes her a letter. They are the lyrics to "Walk On": "And if the darkness is to keep us apart And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off And if your glass heart should crack And for a second you turn back Oh no, be strong ... And I know it aches And your heart it breaks And you can only take so much Walk on ... Stay safe tonight ..."
