ℹ️ Jeannette Guichard-Bunel (1957-) is a self-taught French painter born in Cherbourg in Cotentin, Normandy. Raised in a modest family of fishermen, she was encouraged by her mother to explore her artistic inclinations from a young age. Despite initially pursuing a career in physical education, Guichard-Bunel's passion for drawing and painting never waned. Her background in artistic gymnastics and teaching provided her with invaluable skills in expression and movement, which she later translated into her artwork. Studying anatomy during her teaching career further enriched her understanding of the human form, influencing her distinctive style.
