Unheeded Warnings

Folks aren't from around these parts, are you?

I can tell, you've got that look about you. Car's too nice and your gear is too new, like it came off the shelf just yesterday. You're the ones renting out the Abernathy cabin, right?

Don't worry, just an observation.

I'm your neighbor from down the road about a half mile. Abernathys were nice folk. Retired couple, good people. Though they're gone now, I suppose. Seen their grandkids pass through every once in a while, fixing the place up to rent to tourists.

Did they tell you about the woods?

I suppose they wouldn't know. Just inherited the place, didn't grow up here. Probably never heard the stories. I don't want to scare you, but there's a feral beast that roams these parts at night. A real killer.

Alright, you laugh, but its not just local superstition.

Full moon out, you stay inside, lock your doors. There's something out there will tear you to pieces regardless of what you believe.
