Hallam was captured by the Free Jaffa, accused of trafficking black market Naquadah to minor Goa’uld—ambitious parasites seeking power. The stakes were high; since 2011, the FJN council had decreed that aiding these remnants of the System Lords was an offense punishable by life imprisonment. Hallam went to trial, his innocence proclaimed with desperate fervour. And Cate, blinded by love, spoke in his defence. Her words carried weight, and he walked free.

Yet their fragile happiness was short-lived. In the tender months they stole together during Cate’s long service leave, Hallam whispered promises of return. But when the new year dawned in 2017, he revealed a different truth. “I must go back to Lucia,” he said, his eyes haunted. “To sort things out. Then I’ll come back to you.”


Cate’s heart shattered. She had already lost her father, a hero who’d never returned from battle. Now, faced with the possibility of losing Hallam, she grappled with trust. Could she believe him again? But love, like gravity, pulled her toward him. She kissed him goodbye, clinging to his assurance that he’d return.

And then the rumours began—the whispers that Hallam had been taken by the very Goa’uld he’d allegedly traded with. Alarms blared in Cate’s mind. “Fool,” she berated herself. “How could I be so naive?”


Word spread across the Federation of Planets: a Goa’uld, bearing Hallam’s remarkable appearance, embarked on a crusade. His goal? To resurrect the fallen System Lords, with himself as their new leader. Death and destruction trailed in his wake, and Cate knew that only one ending awaited this malevolent force: his demise.

Now, as the outer defences crumbled, Hallam stood defiant. His Jaffa reported the Tauri’s advance, but he merely lifted a finger. “Let them come,” he declared. “They will bow before their God.”

But deep within, he knew the truth—the serpent in his mind whispered it. His own destruction loomed, inevitable as the stars themselves. And Cate, her resolve unyielding, vowed that this time, she would not be misguided. He would pay. One way or another.


When the Lucian Alliance crumbled, those who had rebelled against its tyrannical leadership rejoiced, their victory hard-won with Earth’s assistance. Among the principal fighters of the rebel faction stood a man named Hallam—a charismatic figure who had rallied hearts and ignited hope. In the tumultuous year of 2014, SG-4, under the unwavering command of Wing Commander Catherine MacGregor, forged an unbreakable bond with Hallam’s faction. So close were they that Cate herself fell into the treacherous depths of love with him.
