But why is the polar bear in such a dry arid climate? He should be sitting in the snow?

Well, this drifted away from the original idea, which is that our Polar Bear is running out of ice due to climate change, and he's run out of options & the last of his ice is being put to frivolous use because there's not enough left to matter........kind of an oblique way to get there, I know.....also, because I like changing things up to see what a different context will mean, or to change perceptions of standard ways of looking at things.......a subversion of the norms, if you will.

I get it now. It's a good message to describe climate change
