Mistpouncer, The Phantom of the Shrouded Glades

In the silver fogs that coil through moonlit forests, hunters and wanderers alike speak in hushed tones of Mistpouncer - the elusive specter-cat that moves between the folds of mist like a dream half-remembered. Its body is a shifting silhouette, fur woven from mist and moonlight, paws leaving no trace but ripples of chill in the air.

When the fog thickens and the night falls utterly still, eyes of purple luminescence gleam from nowhere: Mistpouncer is watching. Its purr is the low rumble of distant thunder wrapped in rain, and its leap is swifter than sight; a blur of condensation and light that reforms a heartbeat later in another patch of fog.
